So I was on the highway today doing 83-88km/h in a 90km/h zone following a large lorry (hence the reason for the range. I assume they don't have cruise control). Anyway, it's my only excuse to do a lower speed. Behind me, I saw a Prius taxi coming up. I kept looking at the mirror and I noticed, he wasn't exactly travelling faster than I was. In fact, he was probably doing the same speed which surprised me since I thought cabs usually speed cause they want to get to their destination asap. Behind the taxi, I saw a Civic. I immediately thought, "ha, he's gonna overtake the cab once he follows long enough and gets sick of doing below the limit." Turns out I was wrong. The Civic behind the cab was a Civic Hybrid and he was drafting the cab who was following me who was following the truck. B)

    Tide :p
Linguistic question here...when did Canajians start using "lorry?" I lived in Montreal from 4th grade (oops...grade 4) until two years after high school...or are you a Brit refugee? Or just multilingual, unlike most of my compatriots...Me, I speak a well American goodly...

Just curious...no answers....it's late and I get some strange questions running through my head...and where but here can I express them without being ducked as a witch?

Oh, I was brought up learning British english hence you'll notice my posts are usually in British english but yeah I do do use American english sometimes.

e.g. I still use curb instead of kerb but I'll use tyres instead of tires.

    Confusing eh?

I wouldn't mind if that happened to me once in a while. As it turns out, whenever I'm not in a hurry and fall in line in the slow lane behind a big-rig or other large, slow-moving vehicle, I find myself tailgated by a dual-cab pickup or SUV as if I have the ability or desire to step on the accellerator and move THROUGH the large, slow-moving vehicle in right FRONT OF ME which I know they can see very clearly from their vantage point.  B)
