They did discontinue it...only way I can "purchase" it, is to buy a package of maintenance coupons
(which isn't good for me since I drive so little and will be going in by number of months, not miles)...

AAA and Allstate (which I still have) cover a whole host of services I never have and never will use...

The only service I would use is the 24/7 availability of a tow.

What do most of you do??? I guess I'll keep Allstate...$50 limit on towing...in most cases I will be within 5 miles of my Toyota Service Department, and could drop the car off there ....

    Thanks.

Our business manager tried to get it for me, since there was so much confusion at all levels as to whether or not I had it.....someone here knew that Roadside was discontinued for the 06 Prius.

Personally, myself and msot of my friends have AAA, just for the sake of the 24 towing and having someone to call when you brake down. since i got it 4 years ago, i've used it two times, which i figure is probably worth it. i just have the basic package, which includes something like 5 miles for free, but one of my friends here has the gold package or something that gives him 120 miles for free... he's definately present on all of my road trips!

I have AAA, and I love it because even if I am in someone else's car and they lock their key's in their car, or break down etc I am safe!

I haven't used them yet, but I'm leaning towards Better World Club (www.betterworldclub.com). They give a 15% discount to Prius owners and their service levels appear to be on par with AAA.

    THanks for your answers, everyone!

I have Allstate already...so will probably keep them...for the 24/7 towing..I never drive any other vehicles any more...when we were younger, we used more of the AAA benefits.

Can you get reimbursed for a flat tire while driving and you had it fixed at a gas station a block away (AAA or Toyota Roadside)?

I had to be towed once while on Interstate and they didn't take AAA. I gave my receipt to AAA and they reimbursed me. They will usually do it up to their limit amount. YMMV. A couple of years ago I got upset with the local AAA office and cancelled our membership. I now have towing as part of my auto insurance for $10 a year. I'm thinking about going to Sam's Club ER Service but need to check it out more.

I have towing ($50) on my Allstate Auto Policy. They, however, don't offer the 24/7 service to GET the towing, so I also have Allstate Roadside, which gives me $50 limit for towing...together that's $100.
