Is there a service procedure for air conditioner blower fan so I don't have to spend money on a replacement? Mine has been acting up and getting stuck, and a push on the fan will usually free it up. Wanted to know if there was a specific procedure for cleaning it/lubing it up so I don't have to spend the money replacing it. It's also bee louder than I remember it, so I also believe it's possible for me to have to replace it anyway.

The blower fan is about $40 on RockAuto.
I found the part at O'Reilly Auto Parts for about $80.
Probably going to have to remove it to clean it and lubricate it which definitely could fix it. But if you're going to be in there it might be easier just to spend the 40 bucks on a new one. If the thing has gotten dirty and the bearings are damaged cleaning it might quiet it up for a while but it's likely to return to a noisy state in the future.

You'll need to replace it. Most junk yards will have them, it's not a common problem failure.

I ended up snagging one from the yard, got a few odds and ends while I was out there. Seeing a junked Prius also lets me know what parts I should take out of this one if I eventually have to part it out, because the ones there were picked apart almost identically.

So how about sharing what parts were missing? I would like to know for my next trip to the junkyard. ;)

The HV battery, engine, transmission, brake actuator, the touchscreen console, and the inverter were all missing in the vehicles.

Sounds like the parts most people come here needing when they have problems. (y)

I would love to score an HV battery pack at a good price. Just to try to rejuvenate it. Like a hobby.

The parts I'm looking for personally are some trim pieces and misc plastic covers that people usually destroy when trying to get at the more expensive parts :(

First in gets best they say. I try not to damage anything when I pull parts, but I will if it saves me an hour or two.

The salvage yard I was at last year did have an HV battery. They had taken it out of the car and he was up near the cash register where they had some other more valuable components. Or easily damaged components. I think they were asking $500 for the battery. I'm sure it's long gone at this point. And unknown condition also
