We just got a burst of Hail here (La Crosse WI). Up to golf-ball sized.

I only found one dent in the roof in my casual search, but the aluminum hood has 6-10.

Anyone know what a Prius hood runs? Hoew many years before I could get one?

Just an FYI. I have used DentBusters, a paintless dent repair firm, in the past, on previously owned Honda products, and they work wonders. Dont know if LaCrosse has any franchises but there must be some national firm in your area in the paintless dent repair business. It works, its fast and you'll be amazed at the end result.

    Yep, paintless dent places here.
Was going to get an estimate, but the body shop near work had a big line.
I'll wait till the insurance adjuster tales a look.

Just wanted to point out that I had my previous car 11 year with no hail damage, and here I've had my Prius about 3 months...

Well I have a garage (1.5 attached and a 2 car detached) and keep the car there when I'm home, but it didn't help me any when the car is in company parking lot...

Just got an estimate from my insurance company. Since so many cars got damaged, they set up a catastrophe center in a parking lot.

    $2685.35

The hood is bad enough (paint scratched) that they said to replace it. ($218.54 by the way), but the rest *should* be PDR. There are a bunch of PDR places that have sprung up, but I have to take it to a "real" body shop.

I dropped off my car Tuesday after Labor Day, picked it up Friday. The shop did a good job, I can't tell where they stopped painting and the rest of body is smooth again :)

With the new hood they had to get new stickers (for example vacuum routing) which were like $2 a piece, except for the A/C label which was ~$20.

They also had to remove the combination lights (headlights) to to some of the PDR. So the final cost was like $120 more (I was past my deductable a while ago)

The shop loaned me a ford Taurus. by no means an awful car, but It is SO much nicer to be back in my prius
