Wish someone could come up with a way to open all door locks when the driver's side door is unlocked.
Presently opening the drivers side door does not unlock othe doors and it's a pain to put things in say the back seat. Gotta unlock all doors via the rocker switch on thedriver's side door.
    Anyone solved this inconvenience.

Reset your key using the instructions in the owners manual. I have mine set to unlock all doors when I grasp the drivers door handle.

Easily solved, it is in the Owner's Manual but I am sure someone will post it here. You can program the fob to open just the driver's door or all doors. It involves holding down certain buttons on the fob but it is explained in the owner's manual and on other threads here.

Multiple ways: first, you can reprogram the SKS so that touching the drivers door unlocks all doors (i forget the programming sequence, but it's on here somewhere, and in your manual). additionally, pressing the unlock button twice on the key FOB will unlock all doors. Finally, if you're using the mechanical key ::shudders from the thought::, i would guess that holding it in the unlocked position unlocks everything... never tried it, though.

Oh THANK YOU priuschat! This is a problem that I have been dealing with.. I get so used to SKS, and when I have passengers it's so annoying. If I approach the Prius from the rear I will usually touch her liftgate sensor so that all doors unlock- but this is so cool! THANK YOU!

Please note: Yes I know it is me being lazy, but I love SKS and I am glad that this issue will be resolved. Now I gotta read the bible to find it!

Ditto that. I used the reprogramming instructions in the manual to get all doors to unlock whether I'm reaching for the front driver's side door, front passenger's side door, or hatch. That way if I have passengers with me and I need to put something in the hatch first, all doors unlock so they can get in while I'm loading up the cargo space. The auto-unlock thing doesn't work when reaching first for either of the 2 rear passenger compartment doors though.

Ahh! Thank you everyone!! I thought I read through the manual thoroughly enough when I first got the car, but must have missed that. I also found it super annoying to reach inside to unlock all the doors for passengers. The Prius IS a lazy person's dream!

    Here's what you do
Take the key fob and press LOCK and AlARM for 5 seconds.
Then all doors will open when you open the driver side door with your hand.
    Enjoy all.

Not that I doubt you but can some one try this and report back to us. Hate for it to accidently blast the alarm while my car is parked among the elderly lae at night.

the doors have 3 stages to it's unlock system

Local _ each door only unlocks that door

    local driver and global others....

    or... global all.

i'm not sure of the order they are programmed in.

The car does beep to let you know which one you are in

He is right, you do hold the Panic and Lock down for 5 seconds.

We have 2 Prius's and its simple to do.
No alarm goes off. Press the lock button first and then the Alarm button if you wish but I just pressed them both at the same time and it owrked fine. Good luck.

Way cool. I couldn't find anything in the manual about this but followed the above and sure enough. Amazing how much more we learn from ourselves than from the manual
