I have my car on jack stands to install my new Eibach springs and Hotchkis sways bars and I've run into an issue with the sway bar bushings. I'm thinking there should be a split in the bushing to facilitate getting it over the flattened end where the rear shock bolt and front end link attach, but they are solid. Am I supposed to muscle the bushing onto the bar somehow or do I need to cut the bushing.

I hate it when stupid stuff like this gets in the way of an otherwise simple job.

The trd rear sway bar bushing are cut so you just have to open them up and put on the sway bar. If your bushings are solid, then I would cut them :). Bushings are not suppose to be super tight anyways because the swaybar needs to rotate a little when driving the car. Make sure you lube the inside of the bushing where it grabs the sway bar.

Yes, it's one of the reasons I am reluctant to put in a different head unit. Looks easy but I know there will be one cable, adapter or cuppler that one will have make work. Best of luck to you.

Yep, you have to cut them.

Hotchkis doesn't use endllinks. they bolt directly to lower shock mount using same bolt.

    PH-1 ?
