what is the purpose of piping? wouldnt seats look better without it because it would seem more smooth? Im considering of getting these seat covers..

I got the piping because I found that in the pictures of seats I saw without it, the neoprene's smooth, rounded edges around the seats made them look a bit "shapeless".

Note that I only went with the outer, or "half" piping, and I have never noticed any particular feel from it while sitting in my seats.

I know this is over a year later, but I just received my Prius three weeks ago. I am considering seat covers...I just got an email from them. I'm sending for swatches of your base colors bec I have a gray interior with magnetic gray exterior...When I asked about a custom logo they said it would be $49 for the logo but an additional $50 for the setup fee!!!! Is this what you paid? thanks

I am purchasing the same color wet okole's end of week. I am considering getting a logo put on. Being a HUGE Yankee fan I am thinking of putting their logo on the seat. However, bec of copyright issues they can't put the actual logo on. They recommended that I get a yankee patch and have it sewn on.. Or, I could photoshop the Yankee logo and make significant changes that would not be going against copyright laws. My question to you is do you think having a logo sewn on is better or worse than having it put on with heat like you did? Any feedback is very appreciated...

IMO, it depends on the type of patch you have, thickness, the edge/border, etc. If the patch is fairly thin with no significant edge/border, you could probably sew it on yourself and make it look nice.

Of course, being a cleveland native, i cannot condone the use of any Yankee's logos on or around any prii ;)

Any reports on how well the Wet Okoles handle dog hair? In other words, is it easy to remove dog hair from them?

VERY well, IMO. I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, a fairly decent shedder, and have had no problems what so ever with dog hair. This probably has to do with the tight weave of the covers, as the hair doesn't really have anything to stick to (where as with the normal seats the fabric almost seemed to attract dog hair). I haven't once had to specifically go in to clean the dog hair off... instead, i'll be cleaning up the other, muddy messes he makes coming home from the lake :-p
