    Hey all,

I just bought a 2012 Prius C a few days ago and I had the misfortune of hitting two very bad potholes at night. I took it to a local tire shop because I saw 2 bent rims, but it turns out I have 3 bent rims :( I was wondering if any of you have experience with broken rims and know what the best option is to fix this. I was quoted ~$1000 to replace all 4 wheels and just get new rims/tires. He also told me that I have 2 different tires on here and that my rear driver side wheel is the only one that's considered an all season tire so that's why he recommended that I just replace all four wheels. Any sort of advice would be appreciated! Attached is one of the bent rims. It's not terrible, but it's bent enough to where I can feel it slightly when I drive.

What you experienced is the wonderful world of having an oversized aftermarket rim and low profile tire. Meeting a pothole is the worst nightmare for anyone with that combo. A 45 series tire is no match for those impacts. Do a search for rim repair companies in your area. My wife had a 2013 Veloster Turbo. Her brother borrowed it and promply ran into a curb and damaged the passengerside front tire. It cost us 150 to get the rim repaired, but it looked great. We were fortunate and were able to keep the tire. You're fortunate the bead seal area appears to be undamaged, so maybe it can also be repaired.

I was able to remove the tire from my wife's car, put it in the back of our other car, and the repair guy met me out in town while we were doing errands. He called me up next day to meet and get it back.

It was a few years ago, but I believe this was the place. Maybe there's similar shops in your area.

Replace all. Size and style your choice, but most buy Prius for the mpg...so...using factory wheels usually follows logic.

Just buy 15 inch wheels and tires as what came on the car when new. You will save lots of money and get better MPG.
