I don't think you have explained your problem well enough that I can understand it. Does the steering wheel move on its own? Does the car move left and right and need to be steered back straight?

What do you mean - is the steering wheel wandering?

What setting do you have on LDA?

What condition are your tyres (back as well).

I had two bent rims one time giving me steering wheel oscillations at about 35 mph. The front tires were moved to the rear and it went away. A tread separation can cause that type of behavior also.
If you have never seen a tread separation look it up. It can be detected with a visual inspection.

You need to give some more information - that's too vague for us to understand the situation.

Is this phenomenon while driving straight ahead or when turning?

As I asked before - what LDA settings have you got?

And what are they tyres like? Have they been balanced, almost worn?

How many kilometres has the car travelled?

Back to basics, does it have the same make (and size obviously) of tyres on each side at the front, with the same depth of tread.
My Prius+ I used to have pulled badly to one side when a new tyre, of different make, with more tread and different tread pattern, was fitted to the front. Swapping it over to the back cured it.

Yes, definitely could be, though they should have pointed that out at a wheel alignment, particularly if done at a dealership.

He/she hasn't given any information - other than it goes "left and right" in driving. Which is what mine does when I turn the wheel too.

I'm suspecting he/she's not set the [edit LDA] up.

LKA is not available on the Gen 4 Prius or Prius Prime. They come with Lane Departure Warning w/ Steering Assist. The difference is LKA is an active system and LDW w/ SA is a passive system.

Whiteblaze, the dealer should drive the car, it should be obvious to the technician.
Really low tire pressure, loose lug nuts, seperated tread, all of them would be obvious.

And I have suggested before that people NOT use abbreviations......when talking to someone who likely doesn't know what it means.

It does sound like the Lane Keeping Assist might be creating his concern.......IF he has that feature at all.

So.....yes, it still should be under warranty, maybe, and the dealer should look at it AGAIN, including riding along with the owner to demonstrate the problem.

    Might try that

Thank you for the response, btw i grew up in Brisbane.
When it drive straight it pull right then left, LKA is on.
Tyres are new and balanced by the dealership upon buying, around 50.000 km, might have to do the balancing and allignment again?.

Ok, thank you, will try that, my question if the car that i just bought had an accident before?, [i bought it from dealership ], they gave me new tyres.

Greetings from Brisbane - I'm on the way to the Gold Coast.

Can I suggest you try turning OFF the LDA and see if that stops the tugging - if you're not used to it, it can feel like it's tugging at the wheel on occasions, but not usually dead straight ahead. Mainly on sweeping bends.

Other thing is to ask the salesperson to go with you for a drive, let them know what it is that's not right & see if it's different from normal. Maybe they'll let you try another PRIUS to see if it's the same.

I will chime in on this problem , i have a 2017 4 touring and some days it goes back and forth , i will use the whole lane keeping it on the road . Just last week on a 150 mile drive it was BAD and near the end it stopped weaving back and forth . Two days later i headed home and the first 30 mile was nice driving and all at once i got a severe steering wheel shake , the wheel would move at least 1 inch , i came to a mile long straight road and took my hand off the steering wheel and the shake was very minor , i very lightly put my hand back on the steering wheel and wow the shake came back again very severe [ this happened on I 70 in Ohio at 75 MPH ] the shaking went on for about 40 mile and then it stopped . on another note i had enough gas to get home [ 150 mile ] well i had to stop 25 mile short of home as i was almost empty .

Hey on another note how many free oil changes do we get on a 2017 , i know the free oil changes stop at 25000 mile , do we get one every 5000 mile

I wouldn't be driving a car if it shakes like you say. First thing I would check is for a loose wheel and if that wasn't it I would have it towed to someone to check out the front end.

That sounds very much like either alignment or tyres. Or something loose in the suspension.

Have you better tyres on the front - which can induce massive, even uncontrollable, oversteer?

Two, @ 10,000 miles and 20,000 miles. The 5,000, 15,000, and 25,000 mile services do not include an oil change...

Sounds like you may have lost a front wheel balance weight, does the shaking come and go at different speeds ?
FYI, when the gas gauge shows empty and 0 miles remaining on the trip, you will still get at least another 50 miles before you run out. I've run mine to empty a couple of times and the most fuel I've managed to get in on filling up from empty is 38 litres, meaning there's another 5 litres left in the 43 litre tank. Allowing for my lowest economy of 50 mpg (UK gallons), that's about 55 miles left.
