Door lock actuator motor specifications

    Anyone know the specifics of the electric motor on the rear driver side door lock actuator? Eg. Shaft length,round shaft vs flat etc. At first the switch you use to manually unlock the door would make noise when the power Locks were used, then it would only turn over halfway using power lock and now does nothing using power Locks. You can still move it manually to unlock the door but the power lock won't do anything

    Is the door closing/opening correctly when it is unlocked - like, is the adjustment OK? Is it any different with the child-proof lock on or off? Does the inside unlock mechanism work?

    Have you looked inside the door? Maybe something is impeding it?

    Door opens and closes fine. The manual unlock lever inside with the orange unlocked indicator works manually. I haven't tried disabling the child lock

    The motor is part of the left rear door lock assembly, part number 69060-52280, shown in parts catalog Figure 67-06, Rear Door Lock & Handle; Toyota doesn’t describe or sell it separately. Here’s one for sale on eBay, with photos, though the seller doesn’t give the correct list price, which is $329.42 in the U.S. or ¥9700 in Japan.

    If you want to replace it yourself, the Repair Manual (more info) has instructions. The door lock wiring harness seal, rear door weatherstrip, butyl tape, and rear door service hole cover are listed as non-reusable parts.

    I pulled apart and removed the entire assembly. I began disassembling the actuator to check the motor and decided to hold off since if it broke my door wouldn't stay shut lol. I ordered one from a wrecked Prius that has a 1 year warranty included. I figured for 100 bucks salvaged vs 215 dealer its worth a shot since the new dealer one also only has a 1 year warranty. Once i swap it out, i'm going to fully disassemble the original, get the electric motor specifications and order another motor. This way, ill have a spare, and 2 it will let others know which motor is the correct size to order. Stay tuned.

    Not bad at all. Just used some panel poppers to remove the appropriate panels, then a Philips head for 3 screws, and a torx bit for the lock mechanism itself.

    Thanks. Let us know how replacing the motor inside goes. I have heard that other Toyota vehicles have this happened too and to fix it, you have to open them up and replace that little motor inside (cost $10 or so via ebay)
