    Basic diagnostic flow chart for OP:

    Step 1) 1A: Order diagnostic equipment online $$, proceed to step 2 or 1B: Tow to dealership for professional advice $$$, request a loaner or rental $ or $$ and proceed to step 4.
    Step 2) 2A: Rent a vehicle to use while you wait for the equipment to arrive $$ or 2B: Use public transportation/ride sharing/taxi to use while you wait $
    Step 3) When equipment arrived, contact @ericbecky for professional advice $
    Step 4) Repair or replace as needed, can be $ or $$$$

    Funny I had it towed and the dealer gets it. Ok then they say what’s wrong it starts and runs fine.
    They run codes anyway because of the recalls on it and turns out it had a stored code for the 12v battery but they haven’t said anything else at this point they wanted to make sure it wasn’t anything else. But they did confirm nothing fromxwith the hybrid battery.

    Stupid it would not start for me for batting I tried several times. Then from the time it left here to the dealer all is fine. Ugggg

    So it turns out that the hose that connects and brings in the fresh air in through the air filter and the mass airflow sensor had come off. The tech ran codes again and finally got it to pop another code and whenever he started looking there was. They said that the connector was loose and so that it must have been probably hanging on for sometime and then when the air filter got replaced recently it finally popped off and so the two
    things were popping codes.
    So $126 for the diagnostic charge. It runs a lot better for quite a while it’s acted like it didn’t have power and I just thought that it needed the fuel system cleaned so I did that and ordered a new air filter and was going to go get spark plugs changed. But it runs great now.

    A great example of how it is hard to play along at home.
    Hard to have known remotely that something was unplugged. Well, maybe a code could have helped.

    Weird that even they didn’t get a code at first and it started for them. But I’m glad it is mine again I love my Prius very much.

    In North America, 2010 was the first model year of the Gen 3. No gas bladder.
    OP's profile says 2010, I was assuming Gen 3.

    Yes first of the gen3 mine is a V model but I am missing the USB sports that came late 2010.
    This summer I will be upgrading to a prime and I can’t wait

    Man, I was driving tonight and suddenly I got the "Check Hybrid system" message. Oddly enough, earlier today I was driving with power mode and then turned it off, then the car felt like it was running on just the engine. The battery was nearly at full bars. I turned off the car off for a few minutes and then everything was normal until tonight.

    Before I head to the dealer tomorrow, any ideas of what's wrong?

    I saw in your other post this is a newish to you 2010 with 145,000+ miles.

    Stop by the dealo. Hopefully it is still in warranty.
    Could be the hybrid battery.

    If it is out of warranty you could always try Avi at Hybrid Fix in Los Angeles. Smart, honest hybrid mechanic.

    Thanks for the tip about Hybrid Fix. I had figured that if the hybrid battery died I would hit up Electron Automotive, the price for replacement seems very reasonable these days. But it's great to know that there are options.

    Turns out it was the hybrid battery and it's being replaced under warranty. Huzzah!

    Not many fail under warranty. But if it is going to fail (and it will eventually) that's when you want it to happen. (y)
