I got some mudflaps from Deland Toyota. They sell them on Ebay all the time. I had just missed an auction that closed and emailed them and they sold me a set directly, not through an auction.(which I think is against ebay policy but didn't really care  )

Hubby and I put them on today and they look great! Hubby, being hubby, had to do the work and I could watch and hand him the screws and clips  I am sure I could have installed them myself but I humored him and his need to be "the man"

It was nice that it gave us a chance to actually find the jack and lug wrench. I knew they were under the floor in the back but had not taken them out. I discovered that I had to take the whole back floor cover off to get to them. Good info to know.

I really like the looks of the mudflaps. They are small and well integrated with the car. I think they dress it up nicely

Same place/way I bought mine, and same result on finding/using the jack.

BTW, there is nothing wrong with buying directly from a parts dealer, even if they advertise on Ebay. You can't buy the exact thing that they had listed outside of Ebay, but I'm pretty sure you bought a different set since they actually *stock* them. No worries.

hey renocat - i'd love to see a pic of your car with the mudflaps on. i bought a set from deland a month ago but have not had time to install. seen a few pics on pc, but have yet to see another prius on the road with mudflaps.

also got the rear bumper protector and a set of prius rubber floor mats from deyland. "installed" those the same day and very happy with both. if you don't have them already, they would be great for your kinda weather.

if anyone else is thinking of buying these accessories from deyland, ask them to combine shipping. it shaved $20 off my order and made an already great deal even better.

I have them on my red car. The look really nice. I did have pictuers of them on here but they are now gone. :( I will slowly try to get my pictures reposted. I just have to sift through 1000s of raw full res pictures then crop them and resize them. Its going to take a while.

Better than a drink! I was actually thinking about what you're implying with your "promise" (whaddya expect - I'm a man), but I figured kids might be watching.

I know they are called mudflaps and, being from back east, I recall mud. But, as you all know, it never rains in Southern California. Do these flaps serve any useful purpose besides mud vectoring? For example, is tire-driven stone damage anticipated to be less with these things on?

I installed mine about two weeks ago. Ordered from my local Toyota dealer. I live on a gravel road so my main purpose was to inhibit the gravel and stone paint damage. So far, they have been very effective in preventing any damage, but I am also very careful about keeping my speed down on gravel roads. They do help keep the car cleaner than it would have otherwise been as well. I found the install to be just as described above, and very easy as well. Well worth the time and money. I'd do it again......... :D

Eh.........not for nothing but you don't need a jack or a lug wrench to put mud flaps on.

umm, yes you do. Have you put them on? You need to remove the rear wheels in order to install the rear mud flaps.
