Our Prius died while driving without warning. The Red Triangle on dash and hybrid car light on screen came on. The car will power up but no ready light. After I disconnected 12V battery to clean terminals it started but engine was running rough and then died. I then clean the throttle body valve and topped off all fluids. Coolant was running a bit low. Still have power but no ready light, and same error lights. Checked for codes using OBII scanner and Torque app. Shows no codes. Disconnected 12V battery again for 30min, Car started and ran fine. Took it for a drive, everything seemed normal for about 5 miles then triangle and hybrid light came back on but car never died. Drove home fine, turned off car. Back to no start/no ready light/same error lights. Car will start anytime I disconnect 12V first but error lights come back at varying lengths of driving. Hasn't died again. Still no codes. Without any codes I don't know what to try next.

Get Mini VCI so you can retrieve the DTC.

Looks like you'll need to go deeper.

Was oil level low when you topped off fluids?

When the 12v supply is disconnected it clears the codes, best to read the codes beforehand.

Has cap is on tight and the gasket hasn’t failed:whistle:?

That code is for a large evap leak. You may have others, but you’ll need a Prius aware scanner and software to find that out;).

Good luck and keep us posted (y).
