I purchased a 2013 Prius v two a couple of weeks ago that's in great shape with 73,200 miles on it. The body is in excellent condition, not even a ding in it. I filled it up Yesterday and made a 60 mile trip, about 40 miles on open road going 60 mph. According to the trip computer I got exactly 52 mpg. I'll check it the old fashion when I filler her up again. The only question I have is it seems to have a very slight hesitation occasionally when going down the highway. Has anyone else experienced this sensation? I'm use to driving a 2001 RAM 1500 with jacked up suspension that gets 10 mpg so driving the Prius is like being in a Lexus. The only thing I have to do is put a 8 way power drivers seat in it. My back is like 20 miles of bad road.

    congrats and welcome!

the feeling you get is usually the engine firing and spinning as you need power with the battery. a lot of newbies notice this, but you get used to it after awhile.

    all the best!(y)

You can watch the power screen that shows the electric motor on/off status and get an idea if the hesitation is actually the motor. I don't feel anything at speed but the gas engine will shutoff on any downhill or slowing situation even at speed. For the seat, try a lumbar cushion (just the pillow version).
