IT being a blue package #3 at msrp plus floor mats... and I love it too :)

The buying experience was great too, having spent <75mins total, including a test drive, no pushing warranties or lojack or anything at all, so I feel like I should mention the dealer. It's Hamer Toyota in Mission Hills, and the internet guy I dealt with was David Ochoa ([email protected])

    me happy!

So am I to infer that the general consensus is that the extended warranty (platinum=4 more years of coverage, equaling 7 years total) and lojack stuff is unecessary? Opinions anyone?

Congrats on the purchase...just picked mine up this past Friday and am debating whether to add the extended warranty.

You have three years to decide. Be aware, in Florida it's not a Toyota extended warrenty the dealers sell. If you want that you can get it from Troy. There's a thread on this site. It's $990.

Congratulations, azzieo! Now all the theoretical stuff you've read here can get turned into reality. It is such a fine car!

Katana, the extended warranty from PC is the best deal around. There are a few too many computers and electronics in my Silver Cloud to feel comfortable without one, for me, but you can wait until your regular warranty is close to expiration to decide, just don't wait too long. The Lojack is a waste with the immobilizer in the Prius and fob system.

Platinum Warranty: Only if you get it for a bit less than a grand from Troy on this site. My dealer wanted to charge me $2,350 for a 6 year, 75,000, $50 deductible plan. May Family Toyota in San Juan Capistrano get the hives! (Except for Carmen who was straight as a laser.)
