Good for you! I’m at around 15,500 miles now and will be scheduling service soon. You are getting a bit better miles in the cold weather than me. I average about 22 miles under 40deg. Happy driving!

Still no issues to report—on my way to 300,000 miles :) Since my last post, my Clemson Tigers won the National Championship in large fashion 44-16 over the Bama Tide! Check out my new front tag and Go Tigers!

Nice! You were up in my neck of the woods. (I live in Asheville, AND a Clemson Alum :) ) If I would have seen you, I probably would have flagged you down! HAHA Look out for a young dude in a red Viper on nice weekends in the Asheville area. HAHA.

Just crossed 20,000 miles and had the service done. Still going strong--no issues. Drove to and from Charleston--averaged 54 MPG doing 70 mph. Great car!

Just had my 20k mile check up (although it was just over 21k haha). No problems. Looking forward to the warmer weather and longer range!

I haven’t updated this thread in over a year. I currently have 42,000 miles on the Prime and, knock on wood, zero issues. Still getting about 30 miles per charge. Regular maintenance only—and I’m still on the OEM tires, I plan to replace them soon. I purchased a 240v charger and it works very well. Steady as she goes...how many miles will I get? Stay tuned! 1A21CBE5-F6AB-4AF6-9DB0-852630C7777A.jpeg

The Blue Magnetism is a beautiful color. I think Prius Prime is Blue Magnetism and Blue Magnetism is Prius Prime. HUD, eco gauge, etc. are all in similar aqua colors. I wasn't as protective of my Prius Prime Classic Silver Metallic. However, it is very hard to capture the correct hue on the camera, which is a bluish teal. For example the color in @ClemsonSteve's pictures is usually totally off. I always use the manual color temperature to try to get the hue right.

I think you have a great point--the camera I used (iPhone 10) makes it look more blue.

Your last picture is somewhat closer to the true color of Blue Magnetism but the second from the last is totally off—resembling the Prius's Electric Storm Blue instead. I don't know if you have a manual mode on iPhone 10. I have a Galaxy S20 Ultra. In any case Blue Magnetism is very difficult to capture on the camera and the color greatly varies with the ambient light intensity and color temperature as well. In direct sunlight it could almost appear as cyan (true aqua), and it appears as a bluish teal in most lighting conditions, the ratio of blue to green varying with the ambient light. This is why I like this color so much!

Question: Do you get it detailed and/or waxed? It looks so shiny and new!

I hand wash all of my cars--never go to a car wash. I have type 2 diabetes, so the exercise is great! In the winter I wash them outside (quickly LOL) and then back inside the garage for drying and waxing. After washing, about three times a year I quickly apply Turtle Wax Ice--spray and wipe. Cars are always parked in the garage. That's it.

Looking awesome...it's funny for me because at first, I was not a fan of the color. But now, I absolutely love it!

I think this is true for most people—thanks to the vast sea of shades-of-gray cars we live in, they don't realize what a great color Blue Magnetism is until they own it.

I am a fan of blue in general, but definitely not the blue magnetism.

    That's because Blue Magnetism isn't blue—it's aqua/teal. ;)

I really really like my hypersonic red, but I must admit that the blue magnetism is just a touch nicer. It might be that there are more red cars out there so red doesn't stand out as much. But various shades of blue are getting more popular around here. I am SO tired of all the gray cars.

Same. It's all white or black here (silver is slowly being removed by attrition as the 15-20 year old cars get scrapped or removed). When I see a car that isn't white or black or grey, it's a toss up whether it's from the 90s or a recent car lol.

My pastor hates washing cars, so his are always silver or grey. In fact, he just bought a new Hybrid Rav4 (upgrade from a CRV). It arrives next week. A mutual friend, who's a total car nut, was starting to explain to him the best ways to keep it clean and protect the finish. Mike stopped him and said, "Why do you think I get silver cars? So I don't have to wash them." Our friend suddenly looked like a humanoid robot in a movie who had been asked something that put it into an infinite loop. :ROFLMAO:

BTW, he's really excited about his first hybrid and has been asking me all kinds of questions. And he's reading everything he can find about it.
