If so did you experience any problems after update?

My car was slow when I brought it in, when I got it back, it was still slow.

I just had mine done yesterday. I didnt notice anything. The recall was free. But then they told me I will need to come back for over $1k in repairs, inverter fluid change, spark plugs, brakes are down to 1mm. I have 101k miles. I didn't drive the car much after getting the car back to see if anything changed much. I got around 36mpg on the dash. Was hoping it was a fuel improvement after the update. Nope.

You still have your Miata? I am thinking of getting a Mazdaspeed since the Prius is my DD but kinda boring.

Yes but that's strictly a NON DD. It's very low to the ground and the sun can do some serious damage if you're out too long with the top down.

You have to read up about those Mazdaspeed ones, can be problematic. But it's Fasttttt

Which one? Assume this is the second software update for the inverter you're talking about? I've got a preliminary letter, saying wait for more notice. Come to think of it, last time around I can't recall ever getting the second (go-ahead) notice.

The US version of the second, go-ahead notice bears a date of 20 December 2018, but I have only seen it online; mine has yet to come in the mail, and the first post I saw about it was from someone who had been told about it during a conversation with a dealer.

I love my Mazdaspeed 6; AWD, turbo, direct injection goodness. Like every car, including my gen 3 Prius, have their quirks. The biggest concern with the MZR engine is the stock fuel pump. It can grenade if you don't know how to drive it properly. Upgrading the high pressure fuel pump components will greatly reduce premature death. Fun and fassssssst like JC said.

I recently bought a 2010 Prius. I could see from the Carfax that there is at least one manufacturer recall for my car.
Are these calls free or they charge you?

Does the Toyota dealer have to do it? I called my local dealer two times to schedule it but they never got back to me!

Are you referring to the J0V recall? I believe a Toyota dealer has to do it.

I got mine done a couple of weeks back. Car seems exactly the same as before I took it in. The whole process took about an hour (though they also did a complimentary multi-point inspection).
