I am fixing to purchase a 2013 Prius 4 with 81k miles. Is there anything I need to check, or change like fluids, filters, or anything that I should make note of?

Welcome to Prius Chat, David. Wether you are purchasing your car from a dealer or PP it’s up to you to exercise your due diligence and research it’s maintenance background. You may want to go into the Toyota Owners Web Site, type in the VIN and see if any information is available. Other than that, you should request to see the vehicles maintenance manual to whoever is selling the car.
Lastly, it would be prudent to negotiate with the seller to have the car thourghly inspected by a certified Toyota dealer.

car fax is a good idea to check on accidents.

keep in mind, 201o-2013 are prone to egr circuit clogging and blown head gaskets around 100,000 miles.

The car fax is clear and had some maintenance records. Nothing indicating a trans fluid change or inverter coolant change. I will definitely check the Toyota website and see if they have more details on maintenance. Thanks all

I think the point is, “ Who drove it and how did they take care of it”?

Without knowing the history of a car I would change all the fluids,

You can't do that soon enough.

Toyota USA recommends 10 years or 100K miles for the engine coolant, 15 years or 150K miles for the inverter coolant, and 5 years or 50K miles thereafter, for both.

Yeah get on the EGR sooner than later, ditto for intake manifold clean and consider an oil catch can install.

Image and attachments are my crib sheet, converting the Toyota event-by-event schedule to a table.
