    Ok
    Here we go.
The day after I picked up my newbie, I put it up on some ramps, so I could get under the car.
It was at this time that I noticed the left (driverside) of the car was approx. 1/4 to 1/2 inch lower than the other side. I thought I'd give my Prius a while to "settle in". Well I think it's still about the same, and was wondering if there is any adjustment that I might be able to do. I think it has Torsion Bar rear suspension, yes?
Summing it up, I think the left side of the car is lower than the right.
    Any ideas appreciated.

    Hi MyTFineCar

I can't recall the thread, but this has come up before. Apparently Toyota presumes that most roads are crowned and allows for it so the car will actually be level. This is a small difference and proibably is not a flaw in your car.

Yeah, it has come up before. It's to counteract the crown of the road.

    Holy Moly!
I've never heard of such a thing. (And I've had a few new cars).
So you folks are saying this is normal? All of our Prii are (slightly) lower on the driver's side?
You'd think that the weight of the driver would be enough to bias the level for the crown in the road.
I'm sorry to say, when I look real close at my parked Prius, (now that I know about this), I sometimes can see my car listing to one side.
Now I'll be looking at every other parked Prius from now on.
Gee, I don't know, but this kinda bothers me a little. On the other hand, if Toyota designed it this way, then so be it.
Wish I hadn't put it up on those ramps. I might have not noticed it.
Oh well. I'll get over it.
    After all...it is a Prius.
    Thanks for the info.

My Toyota Landcruiser listed to the left. I didn't like it but it was more noticeable than the Prius. As a gal always on a "diet" it kinda gave me a complex if ya get my drift. :)

    Yeah Rocco,
I've never seen or heard of this "compensation" for roads.
What about the roads that are fairly flat?
I don't think the 1/4" or 1/2" is going to do anything about the "crown in the road", but what it will do is make the Prius look funny when it's parked on a level surface!
My vote would've been for a level Prius.
Again I'm wondering if it can be adjusted.

If anyone can post that thread info, or (better yet) any Toyota statement, or adjustment procedure, regarding this, it would be appriciated.

I think I have seen some Prius mechanics posting on the forum. Can you shed some light on this?

    Thanks All.
