    Heh. Maybe wally-world can use that same supply-chain muscle they
    use to beat down Chinese workers to force crude suppliers over there
    in the "cradle of civilization" into narrower profit margins. That
    would be more effective control of such places than anything W & Co.
    have tried, anyways...

    yer darn right expensive gas isn't the answer to all our problems (unless the intended goal is to turn the economic strength of the US back a good many decades). just try making expensive gas fly in this petroleum driven consumer economy. if the intended goal is conservation (always a laudable endeavor) then there really has to be a societal mind shift away from this blind materialism induced by our neo-socialist welfare state.
