CJSK, I'd love a real bucket seat like this and look forward to your write-up. Was there a particular reason for a BRZ as the source, or might other sources be as good?

The BRZ/FRS already has some (very little, but some) parts commonality with the Yaris/Aqua/Prius c.

Beyond that, it's a very similar-sized cockpit. Much more likely to fit than the couches from an Escalade or something.

Nice work, I bet it is going to have great support.

Some BRZ seats showed up locally and thinking of purchasing. Did you ever draft up a write up yet?

Thanks to TS and I happened to have a pair of seats from BRZ/86/FRS which was fitted in my previous ride Volvo C30 T5. I have all the original railings intact so I'll be doing the swap as soon as I find time.

What seat rails / brackets did you use? I want to run a bucket seat in mine but haven’t found what rails would work

A little work to get these in.

    #1. Remove donor seats rail
    #2. Remove original seats rail
#3. Bore donor seats mounting point for rail to be wider to fit original seat rail as they are wider than donor seats (Important step. Without doing this factory rail will be too tight and you will have issue with seat sliding mechanism)
#4. Mount original seats rail onto donor seat
#5. Plug & play with factory rail, airbag harness and seat belt buckle should also be plug & play.

Please check the seat bolt as they are uncommon size.

Did you unplug the battery before doing the swap?
