    Should I bite the bullet and pay over 2x for the dealer part? Wondering what model years are compatible for rear wheel bearing assembly and maybe I could look at a junk yard for a later model with fewer miles.

    I have replaced rear bearing assemblies with Moog parts that have gone bad in less that a year. I researched via the chat group to see what might be a reliable part and Moog came up repeatedly, but.... Unfortunately the part only has a 30 day refund through Rock Auto and then they will honor the manufacturer warranty which I have done once. I replaced both sides within 3 months of each other and now the other one is bad. Probably the warranty replacement part will go bad at this rate as well. I will not put another Moog part on my car.

    I'm pretty clueless, but I believe there's some other aftermarket bearings that are highly regarded, might even be what Toyota's using, just debadged?

    NSK, SKF and dealer are the only 3 I will use. Even Timken is now often (but not always) sourced from Asia.

    Have you put the car on a 4 wheel computerized alignment machine to see if something is loading your suspension wrong?
    And have you checked the rear shocks?

    With over 200k miles I replaced all shocks and front struts last fall with KYB. I replaced the rear bearing prior to that.

    It looks like the NSK do not have speed sensor post/connection but the SKF do....

    Are there any seals or lubes that must be applied when the wheel bearing hub is replaced? Anything else I
    I should check with my mechanic about before replacing the hub later this week?

    It is a sealed assembly, so no.

    Wouldn't hurt to apply anti-seize to the bore the bearing fits into, and any-and-all faying surfaces? Or some sort of waxy sealant, or wheel bearing grease? Not sure why they would not do that at the factory? I'm assuming they don't, considering the epic battles you read about, extracting the old one.

    Epic battles:ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO::LOL:.

    Very expressive and a vivid image:).

    Hope to not have to work on one to avoid percussive maintenance (y).
