Sometimes the C/C works...…. sometimes it doesn't. Also, the keys (2) don't work unless I put them in the ignition, new batteries in both. Lock/unlock buttons don't work either.

Had an issue with my 09 but mine where it would disengage with a slight bump. Turned out to be the brake light switch by the pedal.

Either a clock spring or a brake light switch. You might want to do a search on the recall for brake light switch from Toyota. Try that first before you crack into the steering wheel.

If you gotta get a clock spring the best price will be from Amazon but it will come from China and will take about three weeks to get to the States. A brake light switch is available from any local parts store, but it is pricy. Pulling the trim skirt from around the bottom of the steering wheel is a must unless you have the arms and fingers of a five year old.

I just replace the brake light switch on my Prius in order to cure my wonky CC. Just my two cents, but I'd give the brake light switch a go, first before you test the waters of the clock spring.

    Hope this helps.

I stlll wanted to check all connectors between ABS sensors and ECU. Never figured it might be something so simple... Been having trouble for years.

So there has been a recall? I'll phone my dealer to check.
I have asked about it at their service desk but they played dumb (the slight-bump=CC disengage, not the brakelightswitch)
