Color keyed mirror cap removal?

    I am looking to dip my mirror cap in a different color or to get them wrapped with a design. Anyone know how to take it off? Does it just pop off?

    heres a pic when i dipped it 3 yrs ago. they're just tabs so just start from the bottom and work your way around the edges until it pops right off. hope this helps :)

    The tabs are easy to reach from the inside if you pop out the mirror glass first. Then you can just push the end of each tab you see to release it and pop it out.
