I don't have the special lug key and wondering if this is the correct one to purchase: wheel lock set

Is there other places I can purchase like on Amazon?I need this as quickly as possible.

    Here's a picture for reference:

That’s an aftermarket addition. Take it to a local tire shop. They should be able to remove it so you can put an anti theft nut you have a key to it a factory original.

Or just buy 4 lug nuts to replace the locking ones once you get the local guys to remove the current ones;).

The Prime comes with locking lug nuts too:cool:.

Guess what I’ll be doing soon:whistle:.

Good luck and keep us posted (y).

You linked the correct company, but doubtful it's the correct security pattern. There should be a card in your owner's manual folder that has the correct code for your lug. Then you have to go through a process with McGard to prove you own that one (so you aren't trying to steal stuff) which i think is around 2-3 weeks. Seems kinda silly, but I get it. It would be nice if the dealer could just order it to bypass that waiting period (and maybe they can, never bothered to check).

Now, Im with @Raytheeagle with just replacing them with standard lugs. I have my tires rotated with every oil change (just because I put on a lot of miles) and the shop actually broke the socket "key". I ended up getting an 18 or 19 mm spare socket, hammering that [bleeper] on to the security nut and then was able to get it off. I was able to reuse the socket on 2 of them, but the third one went into the trash. So I had to get another socket to get the fourth off.

I did end up buying a new security lug set from McGard in the event that I do want to put them back on if I ever worry about the wheels getting stolen (but in hindsight seems like a waste of a few bucks)

    I used this video

Also, if you hammer it on and it still spins on the lug, hammer harder to really get that socket to seat. Go slow with a long breaker bar too. trying to move it fast will most likely end in a stripped socket.

Eric mentions there's a special socket you can get. I searched a bit but couldn't find. I'm picturing something like a 12 point socket, but with more "bite", and the interior diameter wider at the the opening, then tapering down (conical). You tap it on, then with every rap it bites a little more.

The keys are usually kept with the spare tire or in the glove compartment

In the tool caddy above the spare, it's supposed to be pushed in right there:

That's just a googled pic. I think mines there... I hope. Hey, it's got my phone number on it, lol. And the locking nuts are back in their package, in there somewhere.
