I really wanted to upgrade the exhaust on my '16, but can't really make an argument that it is worth the time, trouble, and expense. So, a compromise.
This is a less than $20.00 bolt on purchase from Amazon that dresses up the only visible portion of the exhaust system.
I may be the only one who ever notices, but it will make me happy. Also seen in the photo is my inch-and-a-quarter trailer hitch which carries my bike rack.

N'mind the tip; what's the hitch? A Curt? Have you considered towing something like a utility trailer?

There was a guy here about a month back, replacing a porch post on our neighbour's. He had a 3rd gen, with a utility trailer on the back, just transporting his miter saw, and a few post sections. I should have asked him about it, didn't think.

The hitch came from U-Haul. It is their brand I think - called a "sportframe". Right at $100.00. I had U-Haul install it for me for $65.00, but did not get the wiring because I just don't see any trailer towing in my future.

I've been looking at Curt site; have a video on the wiring install for third gen, and 4th gen is very similar I think. Looks very straightforward.

Yeah, maybe I better give my head a shake. It's just last few weeks we've been treating ours like a pick up, jamming bailed blackberry vines in the hatch, and taking it down to the local dump for composting. Made me starting longing for a trailer...
