New Fob case

    Hi ladies and gents,

    My name is Max, I'm the founder of MaxJen International bringing The Red Bullet to the international market.

    I was surfing the web for cool stuff to get for my Prius C during a severe case of food poisoning.
    I was just fit enough to go and pick it up today.

    It was something I had on my mind for a while already but never pulled the trigger on it until now. Life is short was the take away point after the food poisoning.

    Side by side next to the old one I gutted for the chip.

    The positioning of the actual key chip took a little probing to get it on the right position.
    But all is well. The buttons work and the keyless function all works. All I have to do is get the little key cut to my original key.

    Some chinese guy I found online. Its a bit bigger in size but hey it looks pretty nice. I'm wondering how long it will last being shiny. Was thinking about helping him export. Let me know what you think. I'm saying there is a tone of stuff here to export. If only I had the time to fly over to China.
    It was 15-18 bucks a pop. Get 20 can of pop at 7-11 plus taxes will be the equivalent.

    Made an order for 2. They offered key cutting service just need to send photo of the original key. But the seller don't have 2 button variant which didn't matter to me so I'm getting 3 button FOB haha.

    Thanks for sharing ;) Hopefully next week the ride is ready.

    Someone hereabouts posted an amazon link back at the beginning of February. I got one (just in case), and for $10 couldn't resist, but I notice the logo on the back is not in silver, so I wonder if it will behave as either of the two fobs which came with my 2009 Gen II? (…I seem to remember reading something about needing the silver/chrome logo on the fob in order to allow the car to start when the fob is plugged into the slot in the dash?)

    Will this fit a Gen 2 chip? The original case I have has started to fall apart.
    Something to do with having mildly acidic blood like them critters in the Alien Quadrology .
    Can I purchase these from the UK without being taxed to death for importing one or two of these?

    And crucially, will this fit in the slot in “The Spaceship”.....as my vehicle doesn’t have the fancy keyless entry and start - for which I’m now grateful.

    Feral 21st century thieves (straight out of Judge Dredd) have been successfully heisting cars off driveways in the middle of the night by exploiting the keyless entry technology with hardware easily available off Amazon .

    So, yeah, I want one

    p.s. Our London Mayor aptly called Khan (we’re suffering his Wrath crime wise) claims;

    “It is all part and parcel of living in London”.
