The cells he replaced were not brand new, he replaced used cells into the module pack. All other 26 cells were showing good decent voltages 7 I guess, the other two were 6.8 and 5.8 so he replaced these two.
No idea what to do further, but for now it's okay.

Yeah I’m not saying they’re brand new, but if the new cells are from a 2015 and your 2011 cells are older, there is an age and most likely capacity difference ;).

If the cells are from something older (say 2004-2009) it’s another potential issue. The only way to know is to have te serial numbers :).

Are you the DIY type? If yes, then the Prolong equipment made by Hybrid Automotive might be up your alley for future work. If not and low miles, I’d look at @2k1Toaster ’s kit;).

    Hope that helps(y).

IF.......you really must keep the car much longer.......you should start shopping for a NEW battery or one that is completely rebuilt with all NEW cells. Or start shopping for a different car.

As long as it is running OK there is no need to "fix" anything right now.
Just be ready for when it fails again.
There is an outside chance it could go a year or more.

Just for the record: does disconnecting the 12 volt battery wipe all stored codes, or maybe just the display.
