oh boy...after having all the classic symptoms of hybrid battery failure (2007/164,000 miles), and after buying a used one (free install included by mobile technician! One year warranty! ) the RTOD is back after 29 days. It's been acting up for the past week, showing the same symptoms that is was just the original died; draining quickly up hills, going up to full green bars and staying there for too long...etc. But I wasn't quite expecting this SO soon. I've heard that the used batteries are a gamble, likely I lost this one...
BUT. The 12v battery was just replaced, along with the inverter and engine coolant. The inverter pump is confirmed to be working. I'm going to bring it to the dealer straightaway and have them give me a diagnosis and I'll also call the used battery people soon and give them a hard time to see if they can do anything for me but I'm not counting on it. My questions is thus:
Is there possibly another issue with the car that could be causing my batteries to die prematurely that I should know about and investigate, or is this pretty clear cut? It's springtime up here so no extreme temperatures and I haven't been doing any drives over 30-60 minutes lately.

no, not likely. if it turns out to be the battery, it's because rebuilt batteries are junk

That's what I'm actually hoping, then I don't have to go hunting around for some unknown obscure other fix. I think I'll suck it up, accept my losses from trying to buy something that seemed too good to be true and buy a new one from Toyota, put it in myself and clean the battery fan while I'm in there. I want my 300,000! I'm convinced this thing is in way better shape that when I bought it 5 years ago after the work I've done to it.

All the same, there are a ton of reasons that triangle can come on, so knowing what the trouble codes are this time around would be helpful.

I'm definitely going to go to the dealer to get those this time. (except if they charge me a lot. If so I'll by my own software).
