Well, I got mine within a week of ordering it. I installed it in about 1 hour (should have taken less, but I messed up on a couple of things and had to disassemble and assemble the dash twice - "hmmm a leftover bolt, I wonder where that goes"). Really a pretty simple install.

The product works exactly as described. I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of the picture on the MFD.

My experience with Coastal ETech was about the same as everyone else's -- terrific products, tacky backroom. They've got a business going and don't want to lose it, so they won't do anything stupid. But it seems like they kind of work part-time.
Their stuff is top-notch. Instructions are adequate for anybody who does stuff with their hands, and some of it (the NAV stuff under the driver's seat, for instance) could be done by an 11-year old. Prices are slightly heavy, but they have zero competitors.
Bottom line? Grin and bear it. I'm glad I did. They just make my car more fun.

I had been off the list for a while, used to see a lot of bad stuff written about Coastal. Saw the Lockpick product though and had to get it. I ordered it on Sunday morning, by Sunday evening I had a tracking number from UPS and it's in transit to be delivered on Monday the 18th! Pretty great service, looking forward to getting the product.

Just thought I'd let others know, it seems they have this and the EV mod in stock....

Hey folks - see my post about installing the Ultimate Lockpick, with XM OEM Radio, and DICE Ipod adapter, all with a 6CD Changer and full DVD player capability! Took some finessing to get it all to work together, but it finally did!

I ordered the Lockpik with the rear view camera and they did not have any to send. Do you have the camera installed?

No - I didn't install a camera, just the DVD unlock and A/V inputs for it.

I have my Bluetooth version installed.

I have a question though, I think this is doing the same thing as doing the bypass mod with the switch. In the case of the switch, I understand that there is an issue where it will mess up your mileage tracking, is this the same case with the CostaleTech version?

I've noticed that if I'm on the phone the mileage bars do not show up in the time lapse display, but the green regeneration symbols do show up.

If it's the same thing, is there a post that describes exactly what the impact is, or can someone share that? I'm OK if it just messes up the tank MPG data because I track that in a spreadsheet. But if it's impacting more than that I may not be as happy with it.

Not sure - I've noticed the same thing as to the bars disappearing when on the phone, and my mileate on the MSD is way off actual that I calculate on each tank. I think the unit does the equivalent of a cutting the purple wire speed sensor to some of the nav, but it does show speed and motion on the GPS so I am stumped. I do know that I never show more than 50mpg (cap) and mileage is abot 45mpg when I am getting more like 51-52 - so there is something going on here!

I should probably read more through the threads, but I am not patient enough.

My question is: Does the Lockpick 1 work with a Prius 2004 w/o a Navigation system. And does it come RCA ready, in other words, once I purchase the Lockpick 1 will I be able to connect RCA into it w/o having it buy anything else on my non-navigation mfd prius 2004 screen??

You are not out of luck. They are selling this unit for the 2006-2007. It allows you to input the address while moving. So this is what we have been looking for. I ordered one and it shipped today. I will advise as to its performance. I ordered the $99.00 ultimate which gets rid of the I Agree and then allows addresses to be input. This is a new unit not to be confused with what they offered for the 2004-2005. So be prepared. We are free again!!

I just want bt and nav unlock and don't have a need for the screen to display video. either way, can you please report back on how easy to instal and functionality?
    thanks

Well I just received my ultimate lockpick $99.00 special. I will put it in the car in the morning. However, in reading the instructions (I am anal after all) it is clear that the way this system defeats the Navigation is essentially electronically cutting the speed sensor wire and then reconnecting. In the instructions it states that the I agree will come on very briefly and then go out by its self. Then by touching the screen you can access the destination part of the Nav. Once you are done it automatically engages again. You are informed that during this time due to movement of the vehicle that it will take a few seconds for the nav system to relocate its self. This sounds to me the same one would go through by flipping a switch breaking the speed sensor connection then reconnecting. Bottom line is this is all done electronically and I believe is a better solution then to cut the speed sensor wire and attach a switch. So for me it is worth the $99.00. So for anyone who is concerned about cutting wires this looks like a great way to go.

    Regards,
    Manny

I can pretty much verify that this is an electronic speed sensor cut approach. I have the ultimate, as I posted above, and after months of using it, I have noted that when I attempt to use the destination features or dial while driving, I lose the mpg estimates bars on the info screen and my mpg estimate on the MFD varies depending upon how long I have the features engaged. It's handy, but there are a lot of unclarified effects in the minimal documentation that comes with it. I had to make mods to accept all my other accsy's and scope out the "how" on my own, but it does work very well.

i installed the ultimate camera lockpick on my 05, and there are a couple of problems with it.

when turning on the car, if you hit 'i agree' manually, when you shift to drive and pull away, the lockpick hits the 'mark' button on the nav.
it also only hits the 'i agree' button automatically, if the car is moving.

when shifting from reverse into drive while listening to the aux in from the lockpick, it changes it to fm instead of back to aux audio. (which wouldnt be the end of the world, except the aux in's volume is very low so i have to crank up the volume no the stereo. but when it switches to fm, i get blasted with whatever is on the radio at a crazy volume!)

anyone know if this is how it normally works? bc as it stands right now, im not a completely satisfied customer. :(
