    My second polisher (the MK3 15) just showed up.

    Perhaps if @raytheeeagle helps, we can get his car done twice as fast. ;)

    I’ve got the harbor freight $10 spring compressors and have never had a problem with them. Used them on the Prius and my car before a dozen or so times. Perfect for the driveway job IMO

    Trust me I’m always monitoring this thread but the dates never line up. Every first weekend of the month I have to work. Also coming from sac doesn’t help too much either. But I definitely want to attend :)

    I actually have a wall-mounted spring compressor at the shop, but we would have to take out your assemblies and drive across town to do the swap.

    Sure, using impact tools does make the situation a bit more dangerous, but those portable spring compressors are an issue to begin with.

    Sanding and spraying with clear seems to be the only long-term fix.

    I’m moving to California in two weeks if this is still happening I would be interested. I just changed the engine but have a lot more little things I would like to do.
