    I just checked my odometer and last gas fill was 2/28. Have driven 988 miles since then and still on full indicated on the tank. I've probably burned a gallon or so in two months.

    3250 miles and still more than half a tank from the dealer :D

    These are fantastic machines for the purpose for which they're designed.

    Bought my wife a 2017 Prime (30k miles) from a friend at work. Had 500 trip miles and half a tank of fuel left n it when we bought it...wife commutes 55 miles round trip and we're at about 950miles now. Still at 1/4 tank.

    She drives in hybrid mode downhill to work and uses EV home...computer is stating 126mpg.

    Now that we've lived with it for a few weeks, my 2015 Prius seems so ancient, noisy and thirsty!

    I don't know, perhaps. But the thing I noticed in the Gen II was the transmission "release" when you got it to glide, it felt like it dropped into neutral though I'm sure it didn't. It was very distinct. I can't get that in the Prime.

    Nice!!! I don't think I will ever see that. Too many 50 MPH roads with hills. Down is good, up is WAY bad. Especially when you have to get up to 50 from 0 with cars coming up behind.

    Prime does those EV/HV transitions much more smoothly than Gen 2. Not sure how, but it feels more refined and that may be one of the consequences.

    The Prime continues to amaze. Given the terrain and traffic, I think my accomplishments are worth celebrating.

    10.3kWh/100km = 6.07 miles/kWh or 165Wh/mile.

    Even more impressive is May 27 entry with 10.8kWh/100km = 5.79 miles/kWh = 173 Wh/mile as it was over 68 miles of mixed city and highway driving up to 62mph/100km/h.

    As a result, my GOM without climate control on read 60.1km or 37.5 miles for the first time!

    Question about Drive Monitor 2.
    Is the first line number, which is Total average electricity consumption, related to second and third numbers in any way? EV driving range without A/C and EV driving range with A/C is basically GOM EV range for current battery SOC, whereas the total average electricity consumption is for the life-time of the car (if the "Electricity Consumption Reset" has not been performed). I just can't figure out the logic behind showing those three data together on a single pane.

    You are correct on all accounts. They’re not related.

    But I guess they didn’t want to make a 3rd Drive Monitor just for lifetime consumption (although I guess logic would place it in the TRIP section with the odo. Like we do for the lifetime mpg.

    Doesn't that top line change with which trip meter you've selected?

    Either way, that illustration is interesting. You'd need to do all your EV driving downhill to get 24.5 miles/kWh. :D And that's a big spread between remaining distance for A/C vs no A/C.

    Yes, that's where I would like to see that number. I also want the average electricity consumption corresponding to the Trip A and B and After Start. Right now, only place I can see that number is on the daily Eco-Diary. If I do multiple trips in one day, it is impossible to differentiate.

    I don't think so.

    Not that I know of. I’ll double check tonight.

    Lol. Yeah that’s some heavy heater use or A/C use.
    Agree. I can’t trip info for EV driving. Also, our scale in Canada makes the Fuel Consumption graph useless. It tops out at 10kWh/100km. As you can see, that’s still below my record consumption. :rolleyes:

    Over 8 miles of mixed highway and city driving (including hills). Top speed was 92km/h. (56mph)

    99/100 for the whole trip :)

    Those with both a Gen 4 and a Prime, do you notice that the doors on the Prime close with a nicer sound and have a heftier feel? (like they tightened the joints to give more resistance) Or is it only because my Prime is newer than our 2016 and that it'll "wear" out once it's broken in?

    Also, the "rear hatch is easier to close because the CFRP hatch is lighter" isn't true. Our 2016's hatch feels lighter and easier to close than the Prime.

    Agree. My Gen III Prius's doors closed with a cheap, tin-ny sound which I attributed to weight savings. Just as you said, the Prime doors close with a more solid, premium feel and sound.

    Glass isn't light, and there is probably more of it on the Prime because of the wave.
    Then I wonder how the strut resistant affects the perception. A lighter hatch means less weight helping to compress the struts.
