Hi everyone. I just purchased a used 2005 Prius that's treating me well. But unfortunately, it only came with one key fob. I've scanned the posts here and it seems like buying a used SKS key fob on ebay is simply too risky. So I'm resigned to buying a new one from a dealer. Has anyone found a source for new key fobs that's less than the $200 all of the dealers I've called near Philadelphia want to charge me?

    Thanks!

Have you read this thread? Although it starts as non-SKS there is discussion of SKS further in.

I haven't read through that whole thread. I'll give it a look now. Thanks.

Anyone purchased a fob from Amazon? I can have it programmed for 60.00 if that is a viable choice

I would not want to try it. If I can buy the fob the dealership will program for 60.00 which at my age is the best choice. Still need to buy the fob though. Saw one listed from a CA toyota dealership. Any others out there?

You can purchase the new fobs from any dealership or Amazon. Whichever is more convenient

I bought a new SKS fob off ebay for $150 where the seller was a toyota dealership. The chicken dance worked fine to program it. Local locksmith ruined the key trying to cut it. I recommend paying a dealer $10 to cut the key.
