I'm preparing to lease a Prime in a few weeks and have a question about third party charging cables and the locking mechanism.
I'm looking to buy the Bouge RV 220V cable and wonder if it locks when I'm charging as the OEM cable allegedly does. I park in an alley behind my condo building and there's been trouble in the past with vandalism (graffiti, illegal dumping, car break-ins). I worry that someone will steal or disconnect my cable.
Others here have suggested a padlock (I don't see a hole where I could put one but perhaps there is one).
I could avoid all this if I just used the OEM 110V cable. I drive 10 miles a day or less, and it wouldn't take that long to charge, but I'm hoping to avoid charging after dark to prevent vandalism. Plus I figure the 220V outlet will cost about the same to install as a 110V outlet. My electrician hasn't gotten back to me yet.
I also saw people who use the OEM cable to charge at 220V. I'm not willing to take the risk.

Yes. I have the same cable. It locks.
