I know there's a stark difference between a USA made gen2, specifically, the 2004 model fuel system, as compared to the European ones.
In an American spec Prius, the fuel pump can't be serviced separately, but the entire fuel tank has to be replaced, while the European ones, any of the components I'm the tank can be replaced independently without replacing an entire tank.
I have not worked on any of the European versions though.
I would want to know what the differences are, if you owned any of the vehicles.

The European Prius has no bladder in the fuel tank, no heat storage system for the engine coolant behind the front bumper but it comes with the EV-button.
    Maybe there are more differences...

^ those are the 3 things that I can think of off the top of my head as well - bladder, thermos and factory EV Drive Mode button. There are other but not related to the fuel system.

Another important difference - EU prius has rear disc brakes, US has rear drum brakes and the handbrake (ehm, footbrake) linkage is slightly different too. Another minor differences: front lamps, lack of turnlights in front fenders, different tuning in FM radio (200kHz step, no even frequencies - only xxx.1, xxx.3 MHz etc), F and MPG in US version.
I hope my bladder tank loves EU fuel and will not fail...

Ah, rear brakes, I forgot: the European Prius has rear discs too instead of drums.
