Well, if a fuse with the correct rating blows you either have an over current situation somewhere or a short. One approach would be "hmmm, what was the last thing that was done before things went wrong". The tint shop may have shorted something OR you may have an issue with one or more of the LEDs you installed. Remove the LEDs, put in a good 7.5a fuse and if it blows, you know its NOT the LEDs. If it does not blow, replace the LEDs one at a time until it pops. If it pops immediately it may be that specific LED is defective; try another LED and, if problem persists, replace with the OEM incandescent.

Ooops, sorry for the late reply. I started this earlier then got called away. Mea Culpa.

LED work-alikes are a bold new frontier in lighting. Lots of them are fine. Some of them have minor quality issues. A few of them will catch on fire and kill your whole family. There are thousands of brands, and as soon as one catches on everyone counterfeits their packaging to match it.

Sooo... there is no one answer. Got to find your comfort level and the more you know about electricity the better off you'll be.

    Glad this one wasn't tough.

I'm happy to hear that the local store was able to sell you good Bussmann fuses. There are some really terrible no-name ones out there in stores and on the internet with truly unsafe quality control problems. You do not want fuses from ebay or Amazon, ever. Even if they have the "good" brand names there's just too much counterfeiting going on.
