Hey...all I did was tell the dealers "anything but green." (Go on, flame away Silver Pine Micas...but my complexion looks crappy in green :p !) Lotsa whites were turning up...but...a black was coming first. I looked at a pic on the Toyota website...my 18yo son looked at the pic...WE decided BLACK was IT! (And trust me...one does NOT find many things with which to agree about with an 18 year old!)

Now, once I get the silver stripe on, the windows tinted and the SiriusPrius added (to go along with the sharkfin antenna, of course), this will be the COOLEST black Pri out there! B)

Welcome! I have no idea...I'm not on the t-shirt committee though so I'm not sure when they're coming out...or if they've even been designed yet. :)

I am new to Prius Chat. Although I cannot swear that I am "cool" I DO indeed drive a black Prius and although middle aged I qualify as a chick meaning female. When my car is not sprayed with salt from the road...it really IS pretty cool looking!

We'll take the dog, but you'll have to form a Magnetic Personalities in Magnetic Grey club on your own.

Well, if you're going to take the dog, I must warn you, she expects her massages no later than 6:30 PM, and breakfast no earlier than 7 AM and no later than 7:15 AM, she is very vocal about these 2 things.

ALL chicks in black Prii are, ipso facto, cool. Persons of the male persuasion need to start their own club.

Well, he has to start the cool dudes in black Prii club then...sorry! But any dog who doesn't KNOW s/he is cool is probably a person in a furry suit.

    Welcome, Spud!

From where in Montreal are you?

I lived there from early grade 4 until about 3 years after getting through high school (Westmount High, class of '76--but I was very precocious--I was about 3 years old then...celsius/metric/kelvin/dog years/binary/whatever...and I lie...forget about the math--my math was only slightly better than my french). I/we (my parents left home when I was 18) lived in NDG/Westmount (lower Westmount or upper St Henri, depending on one's point of view) then NDG again.

After WHS, I went to Carleton in Ottawa for about 20 minutes, then back to Mtl for Dawson (the old Selby campus, which I understand is no longer...and was replaced by the one that got shot up last year) for 2 years, while getting one year's worth of credits due to hanging out at the radio station (that, at the time, only broadcast to the caf), the newspaper and...the caf, where I got REALLY good at playing hearts, rolling joints and drinking Brador, hence the single year's worth of credits...

In November, I took my 19 yo son for a gander arount and about up there...we are (we hope) shipping him off to John Abbott's professional theatre program next autumn. He is California born and bred and we just had to get him a US$300 winter coat--the wimp. 3000 miles can be VERY good--even better is 3000 miles with him surrounded by people I've known for up to 35 years!

The SO of one of my friends up there (who--the old friend, not the comparatively new SO--has been teaching at Abbott for about 32 years and lives in Senneville) has a Gen 1 (2001) Pri.

We'll be delivering the offspring to Montreal in August sometime--driving from California in MY black Pri--gotta love that cargo space!

I hope we will be able to meet! (You can email me through PriusChat--I don't do PM 'cause mine keeps getting messed up.)

In the meantime...I just read this from my mother (from one of her friends, from...etc) tonight...Haven't noticed any other Canajian Cool Chicks, but, what the hey--ain't that what scroll/delete/ignore are for?

    Enjoy the Pri!

    And bienvenue!

HI all. I didn't know there was a club. but I guess I unknowingly joined it in December.
If someone on here is creative check out zazzle.com and put some shirt designs out there. I would volunteer, but the shirts would end up really lame, because although I do consider myself cool, I do not consider myself either talented or creative.

    Hi Rufaro,

Actually, I'm an import. As all the others were going west on the 401, I came up the other way, from Windsor, Ontario. Been here since the early 90's. Good experience, along the way I was able to learn a new language, understand that eventhough I'm an 'anglo' from Ontario, the anglo culture here is not the same, moved up in my field (which brought me to Quebec), married a Quebecois last year, and let's not forget, I just bought a black prius (a week old now). I've had the chance to sample a few neighbourhoods in and around Montreal; VSL, Chomedy, Chateauguay, and Montreal North before settling down in the South Shore a few years ago.

I appreciated the quote. I'll definitely pass on to the Quebec family and friends.

Would be great to hook-up when you come through the area. If you can't pm me, perhaps you can send an email. I think that my email address is posted on the site. Anyway, catch you later.

I have too many problems with PM, and can't send or receive them here, and your email address isn't publicly available. HOWEVER--if you look at my profile, you will not that mine IS--so--please email me sometime!

(apologies for semi-hijack of thread, gang...)
