2006 Prius Red Triangle (C!Ↄ) and VCS light switched out 12v

Car has 117,00 miles on it i reconditioned the hybrid battery and was running good for a 6 months then i get the Red Triangle with (C!Ↄ) and VCS light so when. I went to read it with my obd2 reader i didnt get any codes which i usually do for hybrid battery issues. So i went and opened up the unit and all the voltages seemed normal. I reinstalled it back in the car and still got the light so i got a new 12v battery and switched it when I tested the car it would pop up again in 2 min so i would reset the computer and drive it car drove normal and after a certain time it would light up. I looked up on forum saying that you can drive the car with 12v disconnected . So i tried that i reset the computer, started the car with the 12v then dissconected to see if i can rule out what could be the issue. While testing driving it with the 12v dissconected it drove normal with no lights ever showing up what could be the issue?

If the light comes on it means there are error codes... Perhaps your OBD2 reader can't read the subcodes? Have you tried Dr. Prius app or Toyota Tech Stream? Without codes, you're reduced to visual inspection and load testing... Because you've pulled the battery pack before it's possible a corroded voltage sensor has broken? Also sometimes that corrosion will travel from the bus bars all the way up the voltage sensing wires to ECU where it tends to fail at it's weakest point which is inside the ECU plug socket.

Well it could be worse, it could be better... Now that you know what the codes are you can clear them either via the device reading them. Or simply disconnect the 12v battery for 5 minutes to clear them. Then see if they come back... Meanwhile set aside some time to google search "Priuschat P3000 P3004" and start reading as much as you can... There's plenty to learn about, but stay critical because sometimes people post wrong information and don't get corrected, so stick with common themes at this stage. Then after that, how comfortable are you with taking cars apart, because pulling the battery pack out and cleaning and inspecting/testing is the next step. There's lots of YouTube videos that will show you how to do this, but only if you feel comfortable with your mechanical skills in that regard.
