I'm trying to find a sun shield for our Prime. Any recommedations on brands that will fit our Prime. I don't want to pay $50 or more for the custom ones that look just like the ones sold in Walmart. Thank you.

I have one (HeatShield) and like it a lot. Keeps the interior much cooler. Very good fit.

Does anybody make one for the rear hatch window? That's where most of the heat comes in.

I use a Heatshield. I’ve been using them on all 4 Prii and a Smart Fortwo. Custom fit for not too much more than the accordion one at Walmart.

You can make your own. This is a pretty good guide of the materials/process if your into DIY solutions:

The $50 ones may look like the cheap ones but are nothing like that. There insulated and last for years and years. I'm going on 11 years with the Weathertech I bought at the Prius Shop. Custom fit to the window and very sturdy.

I use a super jumbo Magic Shade. Two pieces and folds into a much smaller circle, much cheaper, and works well. Bought it on Amazon.

I bought this one at Costco for $10 US. It's foldable, pretty basic, It fits the Prime windshield nicely, is reversible (silver or light blue) and it comes with two suction-cup side shades. My wife already installed one on the passenger window. It fits the passenger side nicely and doesn't block my view of the side mirror.

This was a very good buy. Even if it craps out in 4 years, it's still $2.50 a year.
