It looks like they're selling the whole component. There's some language about cleaning with sterile water, and some caution about scuffs and wear. It doesn't look like they're taking requests on color schemes.

Glad I found this thread. I have a ct200h. All the interior leds are green minus the cluster which is a nice white color.

Figured might as well start changing LEDS.

    Started with the HVAC panel:

    Desoldered LEDS:

This one I'm using different LEDS but I went through about 40 different 1206's before finding two that I am going to be testing this weekend. At first it was very difficult for me to remove the 1206 leds. Then I got the bright idea to use two soldering irons. I was about to drop $1000 on hot tweezers but figured unless I'm doing a lot of these to make up the cost of the equipment, it was a bit overkill.

Now I can desolder the LEDS off the board in about a minute or two. My first HVAC panel took me hours..lol Now, that I've done about 5 of them (all my test pieces) I'm down to about 10 minutes.

White: Note these are 3528 LEDS that I scavened from a Lexus NX climate control panel... but to pay $60 for 12 leds was a bit much. ( I wanted the typical lexus white color prior to me finding an exact match with the 1206 led)

Makes it brighter than what it really is:

I'll get pictures of the other pieces I'm doing. Everything inside will be a nice white color. Not blinding at night. My phone camera can't capture it so it's very tough to judge from photos. When I had the above test panel and 12 different SMD leds, your nake eye could clearly see a difference with brightness/hue/color temp, but when I would take a picture they all looked the same..lol

This is a great thread! We don't have a lot of modding for some reason over at the CT group. So it's refreshing to see so many people modding stuff here :)
