If you are a Costco member, go to their web site, look for Services | Home | Costco Auto Buying, and you will be referred to a participating dealer. Go to that dealer and they will give you a discount for being a Costco member. I don't know if the discount is always $900.

What is the Plus model? I see LE, XLE and Limited as the only options here in Florida.

Ah! You're right! I swear I typed in 2019 Prius Prime for the Toyota website, but it is showing me 2020's.

That sounds like a really fair deal. What is your sales tax percentage rate on that?

Also dont waste time with Downtown toyota in oakland. They raised price by 2500$ just before signing the sale agreement from quoted price after wasting my half of the day.

Just purchased a 2019 Prius Prime Plus in the Sacramento area, OTD (including all taxes, fees, registration etc.) for $25,500. Included the all weather mats and a roof rack. After looking at the prices others have gotten, I'm now wondering if I could have pushed a bit harder to knock off another $500-$1000, but for the time I spent searching, I'm pretty happy overall.

Anybody looking in the Los Angeles area for Prime Plus? I have been in email negotiations with multiple dealers but I cant get anybody to go below 26500 purchase price. Even when I "walk away" they just say ok sorry we couldn't reach a deal. Based on other postings and the 2020s coming in I thought theyd be more flexible. Is anybody doing any better or is that actually a fair price?

Most people don't know how to come up with the OTD price, so unless you see the numbers I wouldn't put a lot of trust in the OTD prices posted here.

    MSRP with options and destination
    - dealer discount
    + state/local tax
    - Toyota factory discount
    = Out The Door Price

Sharing out the door figures are not helpful as there's too much variability in state/local taxes and dealer fees. The only figure that should be shared is the negotiated sales price (MSRP with options and destination - dealer discount - incentives/rebates).

The problem is that most people just post how much they paid, without the underlying numbers.

Clark_Kent is correct. Negotiated purchase price before dealer fees, taxes, reg, license is what matters. OTD price, regardless of how it's calculated, is not very helpful for comparison purposes.

    If you are wiling to
Of you are wiling to fly to bay area i can share information about sales agent from dublin toyota who sold me car. Dealer price was 25227 and i got 3500 as toyota discount. So effectively dealer price was 21727, doc fees and temp title charges were 85+30 n tax was 9.5% rest was other CA fees around 400. You can also contact livermore toyota they are eager to sell their cars.

Actually, it is - in VA dealers charge $700-900 in fees, while right across the river in MD it's limited to $300.

While in NY the "dealer's doc fee" is $75. all of which are negotiable, don't be fooled.

I'm looking to purchase a 2019 prime premium with no options in California. The lowest sales price quote I got was $24,428.18. I know people have posted on this but was wondering if you guys are getting better deals at this time. Thanks. Much appreciated.
