[SOLVED] HELP, locked keys in car right now!!

    The remedy is simple and in the manual - always carry the keyfob on your person.
    I wonder if the O/P was also driving thief-mode?

    thief mode, dead fob battery mode, bad sensor mode, lost fob mode.......all the same thing

    I didn't realize that was possible. I plan to have a spare metal key made and secret that under the car somewhere, and a spare fob inside the car, wrapped in foil. I also have a spare fob I keep in the house. Those fobs are pricey, but . . .
    I've been doing this on previous cars for years. (You would be able to open the car in case the battery went dead, too.) (And I've been carrying a spare "metal" key in my wallet for ages. We didn't call them metal keys back then!)
