I am interested in a vehicle that has the Intelligent Parking Assist. I believe it is only Available in the "Limited" Model Trim. I don't know if it is standard in "Limited" or optional. I thought it was standard.

I am noticing that some dealers are simply listing in their inventory

    Prius Prime Hatchback
    • VIN: JTDKARFP7L3124297
    • Stock: L3124297
And not listing if it is LE, XLE or Limited

The MSRP is identical to the Limited with All-Weather Floor Liner Package according to the Toyota website

When I look at the cars features, I don't see Parking Assist listed.

Any idea what this vehicle is and how I can find out if it has Parking Assist without contacting the dealer?

Carfax.com does not recognize JTDKARFP7L3124297 as a valid VIN

It is a valid VIN that comes back as follows from my insurance company: 2020 TOYOTA PRIUS PRIME HYB 4D LE/XLE/LTD

If there is a picture of the car in the listing, if it has fog lights it is a Limited, and the Limited is the trim range that includes IPA.

If the dealer is local, just go over and take a photo of the window sticker and it will have all the details of the car. If out of state, what is the dealer and we can look online and see if the information is on their website.

Edit - running this VIN through the Toyota VIN decoder throws an error - so there may be a missing digit.

Odd that the VIN would return a description with all trim levels, no?

So it looks like it is a Limited. Does this mean it has Parking Assist or is it optional and this vehicle does not have it? Anyone know?

oh, you are correct. It does list all Trim levels. I was so excited to see Limited, I ignored the other two trim levels in the title. :)

If it is a Limited, it has IPA. It's not an option, it's standard in that trim level, and not available in the lower trim levels. See the attached 2020 sales brochure.

Thanks for confirming. That was my understanding before stumbling into this specific vehicle. It is far enough away that if I am really interested in that one, I will call. Otherwise there seem to be a couple others closer.

Also, anyone know why the Toyota website lists more vehicles in stock in my area than dealers are showing? Since July 1st, the Toyota website has shown from a minimum of 6 2020 Limited to a maximum of 15. I have saved the inventory searches for all dealers within 50 miles and checking them daily. I have found a maximum of 4 Limited over this period. Do dealers only show some of their stock or does Toyota list what is becoming available in my area?

    Dealers move inventory daily.

Is it also possible that dealers are looking for certain models for people who put deposits so once that comes in (which shows as inventory for Toyota), the dealer won’t bother listing it because it’s already taken?

No more remote air activation on key fob for former Premium model. That sucks

If it's got those 12 sensors around the car, it should have Park Assist. Ask for a pic of the car. Any angle should work

Ya think that if they don't list the trim level, they have more chance to up-sell the customer? Nah....
