    Hi Everyone:

    I have a 2018 Prime Advanced, purchased in July 2018. I -think- there's a map update out, and if so, I'd like to purchase one. However, I really don't want to go to my local Toyota dealer and pay top-notch prices! :)
    Anyone know of where I can get one without getting ripped off?

    Dont think I would ever pay to upgrade any in car map. Google Maps / Waze all day.

    This is good as long as you have cell reception or have downloaded the Google maps for where you are. There are lots of places in the US with no cell reception. The dash GPS, crappy as it is, works in the absence of a cell signal.

    If you want the latest map in that situation then the upgrade may make sense.

    In my experience, unless you are finding errors in the map you have installed, wait for the next year update or later.

    you can check ebay, but i think most people bite the bullet. or i should say, most people who update.

    most people find the price revolting and don't bother
