    I have a 2010 Prius.....

Was wondering if the Prius V which came out in 2012 uses the same hybrid/traction battery? I read a few articles stating they were the same, but the part numbers seem to be different?

Does anyone know if they are identical or is there a difference between the two?

    Thanks

I did a quick check and it looks like the 2010 is a different part number from the 2012. The 2012 part number covers all Prius from 2011 through 2017.

It might be the same dimensions and just bolt in and it might not.
I know one of our battery experts will check in sooner or later for the best answer.

Yes, they are different, but the differences are not significant.

The 47062 has slightly different fasteners that affix the main case cover to the case floor. The 47062 uses studs/nuts and 2 bolts while the 76012 uses all studs/nuts.

The 47062 has the rubber vent tubes and the plastic flow blocker is shaped to allow the vent tubes to pass through. The 76012 does not use the vent tubes and the flow blocker is shaped appropriately.

One of the three plugs where the car harness connects is oriented slightly different due to having a slightly different mounting point on the case. Everything still plugs in fine and all trunk components fit with no interference.

All the mounting points are identical. All the ductwork is identical. Everything that really matters is identical. Just transfer the rubber vent system tubes and flow blocker to the 76012 model. Or don't, considering they stopped using them a year or two later anyway..

There are no differences that can't be worked through. How do I know this? Because I just installed a G9510-76012 HV Battery into a 2010 Prius today..........and it rocks...

Those were the only differences I was able to notice when I had them side by side and with the covers removed.
