I tried that a couple of years back;).

    No dice:(.

So I haven’t asked again, even though I brought @mmmodem the one time with me:).

    Maybe call that a mini-meet(y).

I remember a long time ago that he was thinking about developing something for lithium. But I haven't heard anything about it since then. He probably has his hands full with what he's doing now since lithium wasn't a very big market. YET. ;)

I just ordered a rebuilt from Best Hybrid out of Chicago using Gen 2 modules. With shipping both ways (core), a 3-year warranty (they've been in business 4 years), plus tax, the price came in a little over $1500.

I have 6 Gen 1s. But only 3 are road ready right now.

Anyone else on here use Best Hybrid Batteries before? Thats a nice price for a 3 year warranty battery.

Of course, warranties are only as good as the company, and I didn't know much about the company, but I searched on Wayback and found the website was 4 years old, and that they had moved to a bigger facility a couple of years ago, so I assumed they are profitable and hope they'll be around for 3 more years.

Although most of y'all won't care, they did offer me a discount down to $1199 (-$150 from their list) if I bought more than one.

BTW, I got the new battery yesterday and my car runs great. The case was a little twisted - I wasn't able to get one of the 5 bolts holding it down to the floorboard to go back in. And I didn't look inside to confirm it's Gen 2 modules - it's 99 degrees and I just wanted it over with.

I've lost respect for them. I like their innovation and their products but their customer service and communication sucks. I have several of their automatic dischargers, and they were happy to sell them to me and knew we were a battery rebuilder because they set us up as an installer for their products (which never amounted to anything although our business has been successful). My main problem has been the dischrgargers failing. They started out good at repairing them but then they started to say well they weren't intended for commercial use, you should have purchased the more expensive discharger, which they never mentioned before. Anyway, the last couple of times I've had to return a discharger, they've come back not working. I've tried fixing them myself now and have realized the cooling fans are failing to cool them, but one of them will start to discharge but when you walk away it errors.
