Haven’t been active on PC because each time I shut my computer down, the next time I have to renter the log-in info. For years this was not necessary as Prius chat always came up. Now, I only have to insert my PW. Of course the Email address is wrong, I haven’t figured out how to update the address without a new registration. Can somebody clue me in? TY.

Cleared your cookies, cache etc. recently?
Maybe try a different browser to see if that makes a difference?

There should be a box that says something like "keep me logged in."

There have been rare times when it unchecked itself for other sites. Probably because I cleared my cookies and stuff.

I possibly solved the problem by going to my new laptop, Im using my sons internet plus my Mini 2 Ipad. Both are a bit shaky.

The "remember me" feature still depends on a cookie at your end.
Thus, it only remembers you on ONE device at a time.

And on most systems, there is a time limit.
For instance, if you don't connect for 90 days in a row, it forces a login regardless of your cookie.

You shouldn't 'always' need to do it unless cookies or something are being cleared. Persistent cookies should keep that box automatically checked -- and you won't even be seeing it as the automatic login will bypass that page.

Though clearing cookies has it good points for entirely different reasons ...

I'm no cookie expert but the popular browsers are becoming more privacy conscious every update
when it comes to cookies. I'm OK with that even though I don't have much to hide.
I try to use FireFox as much as possible as a gesture against Google's invasive policies.
I set it to the Strict Policy and have not experienced unexpected logouts.

PC comes in easily now now that Iv cleared cookies. Amazing how easy it was. one more question:
Are cookies all those things you’ve opened up and still remain in the computer on the top bar ( Google Bar ) ?

Cookies remember your settings so you don't have to start from scratch every time. The website stores them on your computer rather than on their own server because zillions of little lookup tables on a web server would get unwieldy. But they do some other things, too. Some cookies are really helpful and some a kind of scary. Some are necessary and some are not. Websites are SUPPOSED to notify you of the use of cookies and give you the option of allowing them or not. When you opt out, you normally only opt out of the ones that are not absolutely necessary for the web page to function. In a way, it's more secure to use cookies on your computer instead of keeping them on the web server so that, your log-in info and stuff like that is kept with your computer rather than someone else's computer. Here's one of many websites about them. What are Internet Cookies and What Do They Do? - Webopedia

Well, Santa, I've never seen one that did provide milk or didn't use cookies. :ROFLMAO:

Indeed it actually is a new language in many ways. I had to learn about it because I built and maintain our organization's website. I didn't even know it was using them until I checked on it because of new laws requiring users to be informed.
