Great price - May I ask what dealer you used in MD?
I had the same situation, no Prime inventory in eastern PA and not willing to work on price at all. Took a trip to MD today to pick one up.
I paid almost the same also - with different discounts and dealer fees though.

1290 which was reduced to 990 after haggling. Also it's zero deductible and includes sensor recalibration.

I generally pass on the extended warranties but this seems to play up to my glass replacement misfortune

Thompson Toyota of Edgewood. I wound up getting an extra $350 dealer discount above my original post. We had a verbal agreement for the prices I listed originally, however there was a bit of a mix up when I took delivery which I felt warranted the extra discount, so my adjusted Subtotal was $24,857. That's without the dealer fees like documents and title prep. MSRP was $30,443 (including the $930 dealer delivery) with 2 options: Carpet Floor Mats/Cargo Mat, Console/Shifter Applique Kit. Blue Magnetism exterior, Moonstone interior. I could rewrite the full breakdown again if anyone is interested, but the Subtotal before taxes and fees is the key price to compare. That extra $350 was a grind that cost me roughly an hour of my time, but, as I told them, I would have been happy to pay the original amount had the mix up not occurred. The staff there were very friendly and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for overall shopping experience. I was very honest and direct about my needs and they were as well. I expected the hard sell on the usual pure profit items like the leather protectant, but when I declined they just said OK and moved on which was very refreshing.

I'm still in awe of how much car you get for so little after the Federal Tax credit (and state if you are lucky enough to get one). Speaking of which, I need to go hop over to that thread and post something that looks inaccurate about PA. Unless something changed recently in our state law, I wouldn't count on getting a $1000 back on your state taxes like it says here at Prius Chat. Our battery isn't big enough at 8.8 kWh (it's 10 kWh minimum to get any state rebate at all). That still puts me at a hair over $20k plus sales tax, though. This car is one of the best kept secrets out there for the price.

For the other noobs like me, bisco is NOT exaggerating. I just found in the owners manual where Toyota suggests you use a minimum of 5.3 gallons of gas per YEAR. The car's computer will nag you when you start it with a message saying you haven't given the car any fresh gas in a long time. The fact that they have engineered a car that is very capable of needing a monitor for the last time you opened your gas door...wow. I have so much to learn. Thanks.

Would they add in an extended warranty for a little more? That seems pricey to me just for glass. Does your insurance offer a zero deductible on glass? I have that here in CT.

I didn’t include it, but my trade in was $21,500, so the actual price paid was a lot less, hence lower sales tax.

That is a massive difference indeed. I bought mine with no trade in. I normally like to keep my vehicles until they are the kind you sell to some 16 year old that needs collision only insurance. I sincerely hope these prove to be reliable for the long haul. It also reduces my carbon footprint in manufacturing.

Ditto for Geico here in Connecticut, zero $ deductible on glass. I didn’t even realize it until checked with them, per other Prius Prime owners commenting about their uh-ohs with the glass.

I’m now a 2 Prime family. Just picked up a 2019 Prime Plus Blizzard for my wife to drive. The 2019 “Plus” inventory here in SoCal is running out and the prices are a little higher than last month. Still a lot of car for $19600.

    $29048 MSRP + options + destination
    - 1548 dealer discount
    - 3500 Toyota factory discount

    $24000

    - 4500 fed tax credit
    - 1500 CA rebate
    - 1000 SoCal Edison rebate

    $17000

+ 2600 tax title fees (Orange County CA)

    $19600

Beauty. I test drove a Blizzard '19 Premium locally before travelling out of state to get a Blue Magnetic. In the Pittsburgh area, Primes are still pretty rare I think. I'm sure I'll notice more now that I own one. There are plenty of Teslas, so it's not that people don't own EV's and PHEV's. But, dealers have 1 car in stock, if you're lucky. One was really proud to have an Ioniq PHEV on their lot (it was a nicely loaded Limited), saying they had to trade for it from all the way out in Chicago. I guess it makes sense, though, because they can't do these aggressive manufacture's rebates which makes them noncompetitive to any buyer who is paying attention. I made a late summer vacation with the kids out of my trip to Maryland where they had "pretty good" selection, but nothing like California. I echo your sentiment that the '19s are starting to move faster now. If anyone is on the fence and prefers the savings on the remaining inventory, I would look to make a deal before the Clearance Event ends September 3rd.

Why there are additional $450 for yr 2 and 3? Isn't it $1k only for Edison customer?

Only? You guys are KILLING me.
My one-time utility rebate for buying a plug in electric car is...wait for it...$60. For comparison, I get $50 for a smart thermostat.

Sorry, I misread the SCE rebate. Each car is eligible for 3 rebates maximum, but the same owner can’t claim it 3 times. Each time it has to be a different owner at a different address.

That is massive! Texas nor local electricity providers give any credits or rebates whatsoever! Texas fears reductions in gasoline tax revenue from PHEV and EV.

I'm with you. My utility company, Georgia Power only offers $250 if you have a Level 2 EVSE installed. They also have a TOU plan that is not all that great. We also get nothing from the state. :(

LOL Don't even talk to me about double jab ... I am CA resident and would get all the discount, but since the car will be use in the VA area, I have to stick with VA and miss all the good stuff.

Hope I can make up for the diff with some kind ...

Texans get zero... I mean zero. The only credit is the federal for Texas.

PM me if any Maryland guys looking to get a deal on 2019 premiums. I've done a lot of legwork before buying mine, so happy to pass on my contacts/numbers.
