    Hi all;
    I want to replace the fob I lost on my 2014 plug in Prius.
    Its not easy to find a refurbished one on ebay that would "fit" the plug in.
    My question: If I get a regular 2010 gen 3 virgin fob - would it WORK on the 2014 plug in? I do realize that it would have only 3 keys so I won't be able to run the AC remotely - I just want to know if its possible to register and use the fob to open/close doors and turn on the car.
    Thanks!

    I don’t know the answer to that, but I do have an original Toyota oem key fob for a Prius plug in that was hardly used as I only used the other.

    Thanks for the info. The problem is that if it was registered on your car, I cannot just register it to mine. I will have to take it or ship it to a professional to unlock it. If you are willing to part from it at a really inexpensive price, I'll consider it. But in any case, thank you.
