Please Help! Shaking but already cleaned EGR

    Head gasket failure and coolant loss don't always go hand-in-hand? It could be (for example) there's failure of the head gasket seal between cylinder one and cylinder two. Or between cylinder and an oil passage?

    Leak-down test?

    Ok, so I had already bought a block tester from amazon so I just did the test and the fluid did not change to yellow. So if I’m to believe it is correct I don’t have a blown head gasket.

    Not sure, maybe I should do a leak down test as well. I’m not sure where to go from here or where I can get a leak down test done at. Toyota only offered the compression test.

    Wouldn’t I have noticed coolant when I changed the oil though? Do you know about the block tester with the blue fluid you put into the little tube and pump air from the coolant box. Or do you recommend a leak down test still?

    Yes. The head gasket can fail in ways that don't involve coolant. Leak down test can test for all. There's four things the head gasket is isolating:

    Adjacent cylinder
    Coolant passage
    Oil passage
    The outside

    Google for more info.
